Obtaining a Consealed Weapons License
To obtain a Michigan Concealed Weapons permit, you must first complete the required training by a licensed instructor. Once you have successfully completed the required training and have a signed certificate from your instructor, you may proceed with the application.
A CCW License application may be obtained from the Emmet County Clerk, Emmet County Sheriff or on-line at http://michigan.gov/documents/ri-012_7736_7.pdf
Present your unsigned completed application to the County Clerk along with the following:
- Two (2) passport quality photos
- Training Certificate
- Application fee of $105.00. This fee may be in the form of cash, local check or money order.
After you have completed the application process, you will schedule an appointment with Identix Identification services to have your fingerprints taken. Information regarding this will be given to you at the time you apply.
When all information has been received, you will be scheduled to appear before the Concealed Weapons Licensing Board to determine whether your application will be approved or denied.
