Bulk document shredding offered

Who: Emmet County Recycling

What: A "Big Shred" document shredding event

  • An opportunity to get large volumes of documents shredded quickly.
  • Examples include:
    Tax records
    Medical records
    Financial records
    Legal records
    Documents from former professional offices or organizations

When: Saturday, July 24, 2010 from 9 a.m. to noon
(The next Big Shred will be held Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010 from 9 a.m. to noon)

Where: Emmet County Drop-off Center, 7363 Pleasantview Road, Harbor Springs

How:

  • Shredding will be conducted on site by Shred-It, a professional document destruction firm.
  • Certificates of destruction available.
  • No appointment required.
  • Cost:
    $5 per small banker’s box or copy paper box or equivalent;
    $5 per two brown paper grocery bags or equivalent;
    Cash or check accepted.

Now FREE! Drop Off Yard Waste

Includes leaves, grass clippings, and twigs, as well as non-woody weeds.

Brush and Evergreens are still $0.50 per 30-gallon bag, $4 per cubic yard, volume discount available
